What is gold filled?
Gold filled jewelry is made by bonding a thick layer of real 14k gold over a durable base metal, in this case brass. The gold layer is much thicker than gold plated jewelry, which allows it to hold up beautifully to daily wear.
It gives you the look and feel of solid gold at a more accessible price point and is expected to last for many years, often decades.
Can I get my jewelry wet?
Yes! Our jewelry is made from 14k gold filled, 14k rose gold filled or Argentium sterling silver. That means you can wear your jewelry while washing your hands or showering without needing to worry about water, soap, or lotion.
I do recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to chlorine, bleach, or other harsh chemicals.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Our materials are high quality and designed to hold up beautifully to everyday wear. If your jewelry ever looks a little dull from everyday buildup, a Sunshine Polishing Cloth is an easy way to refresh the shine.
Do you make all your pieces?
Yes, each and every piece of Laurel Elaine Jewelry is made by me. Since it is handcrafted, your jewelry is made just for you and has its own unique character.
How do I choose the right ring size?
The most accurate way to find your ring size is to use a ring sizer or to visit a local jeweler for a quick sizing.
Keep in mind that fingers naturally fluctuate throughout the day and can be affected by temperature, travel, exercise, and even salt intake. I recommend measuring when your hands are at a comfortable, normal temperature rather than very cold or very warm.
If you’re between sizes, sizing up is often more comfortable for stacking rings.

How do I choose the right bangle size?
To find your bangle size, cup your hand as if you were putting a bangle on and measure around the widest part of your hand, including your thumb. You can use a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string and compare that measurement to the sizing information in the listing.
I recommend choosing a size slightly larger than your hand measurement so the bangle slides on comfortably. If you prefer a closer fit and your measurement is very close to a size, you may choose the smaller option.
You can also measure the inside diameter of a bangle you already own and compare it to the listed sizes.

How do I decide between bangle styles?
It can be confusing when trying to figure out which bangle style is right for you! You should consider weight, finish and durability. I walk through all of that and more on the blog.
Can I mix and match within sets?
Yes! You’re welcome to mix and match finishes or sizes within most ring or bangle sets. Just leave a note at checkout with what you’d like, and I’ll put your set together that way.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?
Yes! I want you to love your jewelry and if for any reason it’s not quite right, I accept returns and exchanges within 365 days of purchase (unless otherwise noted).
Refunds are issued once the item is returned in its original condition. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. For exchanges, I cover the cost of shipping the new item back to you on domestic orders. For international orders, buyers are responsible for shipping costs both ways.
When will my order ship and how can I track it?
Unless otherwise noted, all orders are shipped within 3 business days (often sooner). Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. If you're in a rush, let me know and I can give you a more specific timeline.
Please note that tracking updates can sometimes take 24 hours (or longer) to appear after a package has been mailed. In some cases, tracking may pause temporarily even while a package is still moving through the mail. For international orders, tracking updates may be less frequent while a package is in transit between countries or in customs.
Can I pick up my order or visit your studio?
My studio is a small backyard workspace and isn’t open to the public. However, I do offer porch pickup at checkout for local customers, which is a great way to skip shipping costs and wait times.
Do you offer gift wrapping or gift messages?
Every order comes in a custom Laurel Elaine Jewelry box, making it easy to gift. If requested in the note at checkout, I am happy to handwrite a gift message on a small card at no extra charge.
If you order multiple pieces, they’ll be packaged together unless you request separate boxes.
Are buyers responsible for customs fees?
When an order ships outside the United States, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, or other fees imposed by the destination country. Any additional customs duties or import fees are determined by your local government, and charges beyond what is collected at checkout are the buyer’s responsibility once the package arrives.
